Ahem is in closed testing on Google Play. These are the builds testers receive, and what each one changed for you.

Time off, and a quieter way to ring.

Includes the unreleased 1.0.0-rc.2 and 1.0.0-rc.3 builds.

New

Time off: Ahem spots vacations on your calendars, merges overlapping periods, and asks once. "Suppress" opens a menu where you choose what stays quiet — per calendar or per event — with keep-ringing exceptions.
Back-to-work check: on the last night of your time off (6:00 PM by default, adjustable), Ahem resumes event detection so your first day back is armed the evening before.
Ringing while you use your phone: a compact banner pins on top of what you're doing — Snooze, Dismiss, tap to expand — instead of taking over the screen, with 3 quiet seconds before the tone. Music pauses while the alarm rings and resumes after.
The daily agenda can now list tomorrow's alarms — set an evening time and it becomes a night-before briefing.
The pre-alarm screen's edge lights now glide along the screen edges, in sync with the logo's nudge.
When Ahem guesses that a recurring block moved, it asks — "Looks right" or "Wrong" — instead of silently assuming.
"Alarm banner over apps" joined the permission checklist.
Tap the version footer in Settings to copy diagnostics for a bug report.

Improved

Alarm cards now headline the event time; the alarm time and lead sit underneath.
Setting an alarm on an already-armed event clearly updates it — "Update Alarm" — never a duplicate.
Every "Alarm set" confirmation is verified with the system before claiming success.
Arming an alarm whose lead time already passed rings a minute later instead of silently setting nothing.
Renamed events are understood: a title going "Tentative" keeps its alarm and asks; a "Canceled:" rename removes it, with an undo.
Pauses are enforced uniformly everywhere — and an alarm you set during a pause still rings, because you meant it.

Fixed

A muted — or tapped-through — alarm that's then forgotten starts sounding again after 60 seconds.
An alarm firing while a stale alarm screen was open was silently dropped (the "it never rang" report).
Bulk-arming a named recurring series showed "Armed" but armed nothing.
Recurring rules with no occurrence in the current week were wrongly deleted.
Paused alarms no longer come back armed after a reboot.
The daily agenda could arrive 20+ minutes late on some phones; it now fires to the minute.
The ringing screen could appear upside-down, and could freeze when the system re-delivered an alarm.
Arming an event clears its "New event" notification, so the quick-set button can't replace your custom alarm.
Skipped occurrences no longer block a later "Set for all".

The first closed-testing build.

The full core app: calendar sync across every calendar on your phone, one-tap arming from new-event prompts, the silent pre-alarm screen before any sound, three alarm presets, ignore and time-off keywords, auto-alarm rules, and alarms that survive reboots.

Once Ahem launches publicly, release notes for production versions will live in the changelog.
